Welcome to my site.

 

I am a Vancouver, British Columbia, based photographer.  My main interest is in Landscapes and Cityscapes, but I have been known to take photos of basically anything… flowers, vegetables, even wet paint (thank goodness for digital).  I carry a camera with me most of the time, so nothing escapes.

 

I enjoy long exposures and the thrill of photographing fireworks as I never know what the final patterns will be.

 

I was born and raised in Ireland and love to travel.  I spent about 20 years in Australia and have called Canada home now for 5 years.

 

My interest in photography was sparked, as for so many, by Ansel Adams.  On a working holiday in the USA I saw one of his photographs of Denali  (Mount McKinley and Wonder Lake) in a poster shop.  Two things came out of that.  One, a massive desire to see Denali  for myself,  which I have managed to do, both in summer and winter, and two, my interest in black and white photography, and how photographs are presented.
